Energy StarThe IRS homeowner energy credit has been extended for 2009. That means, homeowners that purchase a Cammon Steel ENERGY STARĀ® certified metal roof from Jan. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2009 will qualify for a tax credit of up to $1,500.
The homeowner energy credit is 30% of the material cost and applies to residential projects that use metal roofing that meets the ENERGY STARĀ® requirements, up to a $1,500 credit. The credit does not apply to the installation costs - just the cost of the metal roofing material. Learn more at the Energy Star website.
